Mr. Pisat started like most of us as a salaried employee with one of the many big corporates in India. But his liking towards business made him experiment with a variety of businesses. Finally, he set-up non-ferrous casting & foundry industry in 1976 with a handful of employees in the heart of Mumbai’s business district Kumbharwada.
The company started manufacturing metal castings of small propellers & impellers of various non-ferrous metal grades. Over the years his interest to keep learning, meticulous outlook, keen sense of observation & implementation helped the company to excel in highly specialised product ‘Marine Propellers’.
Today the company has shifted its manufacturing base at a bigger facility, made significant changes in foundry, workshop, grinding shop and installed various types of suitable machinery. The product range comprises of marine propellers, it’s allied products & non-ferrous castings.
The core management team comprises of family members, the day-to-day working of business is handled by company’s efficient team of employees & engineers with the help of technical advice from industry professionals.
It’s been more than 40 years that Laxmi Metallurgical & Marine Engineers LLP. is in business and to cater to the increasing market demand we have formed a private limited company. We manufacture, sell & repair marine propellers in Manganese Bronze, Copper & Stainless steel for fishing boats, leisure vessels & cargo ships. We also provide full assembly i.e SS shafts, stunt tubes, nuts, rubber bushes, coupling.
Our state of art facility in Goregaon, Mumbai has pattern making, foundry, workshop & grinding shop all under one roof. We have installed capacity of 1500 kgs and over 350 propeller patterns developed in-house. We give utmost importance to quality and maintain our high standards by following quality checks by technical staff at every step, raw material testing, using latest & well maintained testing equipment.
Customer requirements are attended by technical staff & customization if any is done after taking into account vessel & engine details. The final propeller design is fixed after taking results from design software & our past experience. Our products are sold directly to customers and through a network of agents in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, West Bengal, Andra Pradesh, Mumbai & other states. Over the years we have developed expertise in providing customized marine propellers with exports to Dubai-UAE & Mauritius.
